The last time I was a featured speaker at an Internet Marketing Seminar was in 1998.

My topic was Web Advertising back in the VERY EARLY days of banner advertising.

Amazingly, the web page promoting that seminar is still on line. (See the history) In fact, I designed that web site back in 1998 and they’re still using it. Frankly, I think they could stand a refresh! But, notice that even back then I had an opt-in form.

Another interesting note is that the keynote speaker at that event was a little known New Hampshire-based author named Dan Brown. He has become a lot more famous since writing “The Davinci Code”.

Dan’s speech was about the NSA and how they were spying and snooping in on email and trans-continental phone calls using sophisticated keyword software and the most powerful computers in the world.

Seems I can’t get away from that spy theme. This time I’ll be speaking at Yanik Silver’s Underground Online Seminar. It will be held in Washington DC on March 24-26.

I’ve attended a lot of internet marketing seminars and one of the things I always love is when I hear simple, easy ideas for tactics I can use in my marketing to make quick improvements. Whether it is something that helps conversions, traffic, opt-ins, etc – I love those quick improvements. So when Yanik asked me to speak, I told him that I’d like to share a lot of those types of things and he loved the idea. So now you know what I’ll be talking about. I’ll be asking some of my internet marketing friends for their best ideas, plus sharing ideas I’ve developed, that will help your business make more money. After all, that’s why you go to a seminar, right?
