I wasn't online marketing back in 2006 - only started six months ago - but I'm amazed that 99% of unsubscribe links I click simply go to a default unsubscribe page controlled by the autoresponder system. Had noticed a few with their own opt-out second chance page saying "hey if you're getting too many emails from me how about signing up for my once a week newsletter" ... Excellent advice.
